Surrealistc theme

For my photomontage I would like to base it on nature. I want to have a girl standing in the grass with roots growing up her body. As the roots grow they turn into a flower at her hand. I want to incorporate a guy in the picture as well to have something to do with taking the flower. I would like them to be dressed in white and have everything else bright and colorful.

Description: I think the background blends nicely with the colorful leaves and the lines of everything are done perfectly so you can not tell what the artist did or where they edited it.
Analysis:The art is designed to make it look like half of the boy's body is coming out of the mirror at a time.
Interpretation: I think it means that he is trying to escape but is lost in the process.
Judgement: I think it's a really cool picture. I love how the boy looks completely chopped in half. He looks like he's trying to drag himself to a new word or something, it's awesome.

Title: Mermaid Cafe Date: unknown
Description: The transparent body blends nice witht the line and waves from the ocean
Analysis: It seems like the mermaid comes out at night when the boats are out under the moon.
Interpretation: I think the picture is saying that the mermaid is seen at night under the moon.
Judgement: I think it's a great painting because of the way it looks like the night sky with in the mermaids body yet the normal blue ocean with clouds blends in the background.

I think these pictures look completely different but are similar in a way. They are both symbolzing a lost soul. The boy is lost and is trying to escape to somewhere in the first picture and in the second picture the mermaid is lost by being out in the day time but you can see she is wishing it was night.

I like the way the picture is blurry, it makes everything look like a shadow in the sunset.

Then and Now

 

The picture on the left is from 1999, when I was 4 and my brother was 8. The one on the right is the most current picture we have together at 17 and 21. He has always been the best brother in the entire world and nothing has changed.

I like the way this picture came out because the sun looks purple and the reflection on the water almost looks like a rainbow.

I took a lot of different pictures of the chandelier in my dining room. It was way more difficult than the face picture because there was so many different lightings. I tried to give a glowing effect through out the picture.

I took this picture of my beautiful sister,Tori. I took a lot of different shots of her face and layered them on top of eachother. My main focus though, was her hair. I kept cropping pieces of hair and adding it on top it to make it have more volume and more curls.I also changed the color of some of the layers of hair to make it look like she has highlights.

I took this picture with Fran and Vanessa throught the T.V. reflection . I wanted to make it look like we were inside of it.

This was my favorite picture from the photo walk because of the light. The sun is just peaking through the trees and the sky looks so blue.

The theme of my pictures is getting ready. I wanted it to have a dark background to give the night time effect. I used a lot of saturation but then put the vibrance up to make a contrast from the background. I wanted to capture specific colors and details of the make up.

I took this picture when I went to see the rockettes, it is taken from pretty far away. The distance makes it seem less detailed. It wasn't as bright as it could of been.

because her face is just barely catching her and only certain parts are highlighted.

This is a close up of the detail on my shoes. I had to focus this a lot to get a clear picture so close. With the picture being so close up everything else almost looks blurry.

Vertical-picture is taller than wide
This picture gives a vertical effect because the fire is rising which makes the picture look longer. The fire looks like it is going to continue upwards.

Informal Balance-different things catch your eye, not just one.

This is a picture of the huge Urban Outfitters in Westfield, it catches my attention because it is so colorful and there are many different shapes and objects to see.
